Welcome to The Studio SJ. By booking a session, purchasing digital images, ordering products, or using our website, you agree to the following Terms of Service. Please read them carefully. These terms help ensure a transparent and respectful experience for both you and our studio.

1. Services Provided

The Studio SJ is a luxury boudoir photography studio offering:

  • Boudoir portrait sessions

  • Hair & makeup add-ons

  • Professional retouching

  • Digital image collections

  • Printed products and specialty albums

  • Private viewing and ordering sessions

  • Travel sessions (when available)

All services are subject to availability and may change without notice.

2. Booking & Payment Terms

  • All session retainers and booking fees are non-refundable.

  • Your retainer secures your date and time and is applied toward your session balance.

  • Remaining balances must be paid according to your invoice or contract.

  • Sessions are not considered confirmed until payment is received.

3. Rescheduling & Cancellations

  • Sessions may be rescheduled one time without penalty when adequate notice is provided (typically 48–72 hours).

  • Short-notice cancellations or no-shows may require a new retainer to rebook.

  • The Studio SJ is not responsible for missed or late appointments due to client scheduling conflicts.

4. Image Delivery & Editing

  • All delivered images are professionally edited in The Studio SJ’s signature style.

  • Raw, unedited, or unretouched images are not available for purchase.

  • Turnaround times vary based on workload and season; estimates are provided at booking.

  • Digital image selections are final once downloaded or delivered.

5. Client Galleries & Ordering

  • Digital images are delivered through a private, secure gallery platform.

  • Clients are responsible for downloading and backing up their files.

  • The Studio SJ is not liable for lost files after delivery.

  • All digital images, collections, and printed products are final sale once ordered.

6. Conduct & Studio Policies

Clients agree to:

  • Arrive on time and prepared for their session

  • Follow safety instructions and studio rules

  • Communicate any concerns or accessibility needs ahead of time

  • Treat staff respectfully at all times

The Studio SJ reserves the right to refuse service without refund in cases of inappropriate behavior, harassment, or policy violations.

7. Hair & Makeup Services

If selected, HMU services are provided by professional artists.

  • HMU fees are non-refundable once the service is completed.

  • Cancellations follow the same policy as session rescheduling.

8. Intellectual Property & Usage Rights

  • The Studio SJ retains full copyright to all images created.

  • Clients receive personal use rights for all purchased images.

  • Images may not be altered, resold, or used commercially without written permission.

  • Any model release or promotional use is handled separately via consent forms.

9. Product Orders

  • All albums, prints, and wall art are custom-made to order.

  • Product purchases are final and non-refundable.

  • If an item arrives damaged or incorrect, clients must notify us within 72 hours for replacement.

10. Limitation of Liability

The Studio SJ is not responsible for:

  • Client dissatisfaction based on personal preferences unrelated to quality

  • Lost or damaged digital files after delivery

  • Injuries resulting from failure to follow directions

  • Delays caused by weather, emergencies, or events outside our control

In all circumstances, liability is limited to the amount paid for the service or product in question.

11. Privacy

Client information, communications, and images are kept strictly confidential unless a model release is signed.
We do not sell or share personal information.

12. Website Use

By using this website, you agree not to:

  • Misuse forms, request systems, or booking tools

  • Attempt to access restricted areas or interfere with site functionality

  • Copy or reuse content, images, or branding without written consent

13. Policy Updates

The Studio SJ reserves the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Updates will be posted here with an updated “Last Modified” date.
