The Studio SJ – Return & Refund Policy

At The Studio SJ, every session, product, and experience is custom-crafted with exceptional care. Because boudoir photography is a personalized service involving time, preparation, professional editing, and digital fulfillment, our policies are designed to protect both our clients and our studio.

Please review our return and refund guidelines below.

Session Fees & Retainers

All session retainers and booking fees are non-refundable.
This is because your session date, time, preparation, and studio resources are reserved exclusively for you.

If you need to reschedule, we are happy to help based on availability. Rescheduling fees may apply depending on the notice given.

Digital Images

All digital image purchases — including individual images, collections, and full galleries — are final sale.
Once images are delivered or downloaded, no refunds, cancellations, or exchanges can be offered.

Because digital files cannot be “returned,” all sales are considered complete at the time of delivery.

Printed Products

All physical products such as albums, prints, wall art, and specialty items are custom-made to order.
As a result:

  • All print/product sales are final.

  • We cannot offer refunds or exchanges for albums or prints based on personal preference.

However — if your product arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, please contact us within 72 hours of delivery with photos of the issue. We will replace the item at no additional cost.

Hair & Makeup Add-Ons

HMU services provided by our artists are non-refundable once completed.
If canceled before the appointment, standard session reschedule policies apply.

Rescheduling & Cancellations

  • Sessions canceled entirely cannot receive a refund of the retainer.

  • Sessions may be rescheduled once without a fee if sufficient notice is given (typically 48–72 hours, depending on your contract).

  • Short-notice cancellations may require a new retainer to rebook.

Turnaround Times

Gallery turnaround timelines vary by season and workload.
Once galleries are delivered, any purchased digital images or products follow the policies above.
