What You’re Agreeing To

  • Verification that you are over 18
  • Permission (or limited permission) for image usage
  • Understanding of how media is stored and protected
  • Acknowledgement that you are participating voluntarily
  • Right to request removal of images (within reasonable limitations)
  • Understanding of compensation terms, if applicable

MODEL RELEASE AGREEMENT

This Model Release Agreement (“Agreement”) is entered into between The Studio SJ, operated by Sara Jean and Quintin Meyer (“Photographer”), and the undersigned model (“Model”).

By submitting this form, the Model acknowledges and agrees to the following:

1. AGE VERIFICATION

I confirm that I am at least 18 years of age and legally able to sign this Agreement. I understand that false statements may void this release.

2. VOLUNTARY PARTICIPATION

I am participating in a photoshoot or event (including but not limited to Ladies Nights, themed sessions, portfolio shoots, or promotional work) voluntarily and of my own free will.

3. IMAGE USE PERMISSION

I understand that The Studio SJ uses images for artistic, promotional, and educational purposes.

I choose the level of permission I am granting for the use of my images (Model should select one in the form):

A. Full Permission

I grant full, unrestricted permission for The Studio SJ to use my images—including edited and unedited photos and video—in all forms of media, including but not limited to websites, social media, digital galleries, promotional materials, print materials, ads, and marketing campaigns.

B. Limited Permission

I grant permission for The Studio SJ to use my images only for portfolio display, such as website galleries, social media posts, and general studio promotion. I do not grant permission for use in paid advertising, commercial campaigns, or third-party promotions.

C. Private Only

I request that all images from my session remain completely private. My images may not be shared publicly under any circumstances.

(Note: I understand that private-only status must be communicated prior to the shoot and may affect session type, pricing, or usage agreements.)

4. CONSENT TO EDITING & ARTISTIC DISCRETION

I understand and agree that:
The Studio SJ will edit or retouch images at their artistic discretion.
Only images selected and edited by the studio are considered final deliverables.
Raw (unedited) images are not included unless explicitly stated in my session package.

5. RELEASE OF RIGHTS & CLAIMS

I grant The Studio SJ and its owners, employees, and contractors the right to:
Use, reproduce, publish, or distribute images in accordance with the permission level I chose
Alter or composite the images
Store my images securely in their archives

I release The Studio SJ from any claims related to:
Invasion of privacy
Defamation
Emotional distress
Distortions, alterations, or optical illusions that may occur during editing or production

This release is binding and irrevocable for all images I granted usage permission for.

6. COMPENSATION

I understand that:
In most cases, sessions are paid experiences and do not include monetary compensation.

If I am participating as an invited model, ambassador, or trade-for-content arrangement, my compensation consists solely of the agreed-upon images/products.

I will not receive royalties or financial payment for the usage of my images unless a separate written agreement states otherwise.

7. RIGHT TO REVOKE (Private-Only Sessions Only)

If I selected Private Only, I may later choose to grant usage permission.

If I selected Full or Limited Permission, I understand usage cannot be revoked once images are published, printed, or used in campaigns.

8. CONFIDENTIALITY & RESPECT

The Studio SJ maintains professional standards of privacy and respect.

My personal information, unselected images, and private communications will not be shared without consent.

9. LIABILITY WAIVER

I release The Studio SJ, its owners, staff, and affiliates from responsibility for:
Accidental injury
Loss or damage of personal property
Issues arising from wardrobe, posing, or makeup choices
Emotional reactions related to the artistic process

I acknowledge I am responsible for my own safety and comfort during the session.

10. SIGNATURE & AGREEMENT

By signing this digital form, I acknowledge that:
I have read and fully understand this Agreement
I voluntarily agree to all terms
I am consenting to the usage level selected above
This Agreement is legally binding

By checking "I have read and agree to the photo release" in the form above, you are digitally signing this waiver.
